All Ultimate Blends (non-Hair Food) is out of stock at Superdrug apart from my HG conditioner. Not that I'm going to place an order; I was just wondering if people are hoarding haircare products.

Which we were doing WAY before it was cool

I don't know, but I wouldn't be overly surprised. The supermarkets here have bare shelves now.

I wouldn’t be surprised if shampoo was being bought up as alternate hand wash. Given the ingredients are similar, and we are advised that we should wash our hands more...

I understand your reasoning, but considering the public perception has been 'I must buy up all the antibacterial supplies!!!' ('cos, y'know, this is a virus ) I would be very surprised if people have put two and two together.

I've been trying to get it out to my social circle that shower gel and shampoo will do the job so we don't need to worry when handwash becomes unavailable or unaffordable and they're intelligent people, but this is not their area of expertise so they really hadn't thought about it. I think only people who actually consider the ingredients in what cosmetics they buy (not just the claims on the bottle) might realise it, but not so much the general population.

I bought a 700ml bottle of Herbal Essence conditioner (who knew they made them that big?) and a bottle of grapefruit bubble bath to use as hand soap. Does that count?

Grew from shoulder to thumb length in 7 years without trims. Now maintaining.
There once was a girl, who had a little curl, right in the middle of her forehead. When she was good she was very, very good. But when she was bad she was horrid.

I wouldn't consider that hoarding, no!

I just had another look and practically everything I could possibly be interested in is out of stock at Superdrug. DEFINITELY some hoarding going on!

A few of my friends are buying up shower gel and shampoo to use as soap because they couldn’t get soap anywhere. I think it’s getting better now. I also had a stash of bar soap before this started so

On a couple of wavy hair groups I frequent there is a lot of talk about self-trimming, virgin roots coming in, benign neglect v. experimenting with hair techniques/ products.

So for conditioners and masks it might be more boredom than outright hoarding!

Does anyone know of a cheap, light, cone-free tea tree and/or mint conditioner available here, please? I thought I saw Alberto Balsam being cone-free in Wilko but the ingredients for it that I find online say it most definitely is coney

Edit: I do have both tea tree and peppermint EOs but in the past my scalp hasn't approved of adding them to products, even just a drop of each.
