August 2018: Gibson Tuck

Ok gang, you have homework for this one!

You probably know what a Gibson Tuck is, but I don't have a video link for this one. There are probably good videos out there, but I'm pressed for time. So, go hunting and share what you find.

This style also needs a simple text description for those who follow text better.

Put your hair into a ponytail.
Make a topsy tail.
Keep making topsy tails until all your hair has been used up.
Pin in place.

A topsy tail: make a ponytail, pull hair tie down a bit, stick fingers up though the hair behind the tie, pull the rest of the hair though.

Try spin pins! I always think this hairstyle looks really great but it never works for me because my hair doesn't like hair pins either. I was playing around this afternoon and tried using two spin pins and it worked really well. I put them in horizontally behind the roll. It's very comfortable - and it's really classing up my yoga pants and tshirt this afternoon

I'm a t-shirt and jeans kinda gal and I always feel silly wearing this sort of style. I guess I could wear it to church tomorrow.

For some reason my hair does not like having more than one topsy turvy done but I managed a very messy, frizzy Gibson tuck after 4 tries and almost an hours hard work - I am so lucky I'm on holidays or I would not have time for this stuff.
