    Default August 2018: Gibson Tuck

Ok gang, you have homework for this one!

You probably know what a Gibson Tuck is, but I don't have a video link for this one. There are probably good videos out there, but I'm pressed for time. So, go hunting and share what you find.

This style also needs a simple text description for those who follow text better.

    Go!

Hmm, don't think I can do this one! Hair pins work themselves out of my hair in mere minutes.

    Text tutorial:
Put your hair into a ponytail.
    Make a topsy tail.
Keep making topsy tails until all your hair has been used up.
    Pin in place.

Text tutorial for how to make topsy tails? Haha.

Of course one could google, but it would defeat the purpose of this one I guess. I, for one, am a hair idiot and don’t know these terms at all.

A topsy tail: make a ponytail, pull hair tie down a bit, stick fingers up though the hair behind the tie, pull the rest of the hair though.

Not a great explanation but the best I can do

Try spin pins! I always think this hairstyle looks really great but it never works for me because my hair doesn't like hair pins either. I was playing around this afternoon and tried using two spin pins and it worked really well. I put them in horizontally behind the roll. It's very comfortable - and it's really classing up my yoga pants and tshirt this afternoon

    From the back...

(if I were leaving my house I'd fix that little hair sticking out, but oh well)

From the side with a cute clip:

Interesting! I've never used spin pins as I'm scared they'd get stuck in my hair.

I'm a t-shirt and jeans kinda gal and I always feel silly wearing this sort of style. I guess I could wear it to church tomorrow.

For some reason my hair does not like having more than one topsy turvy done but I managed a very messy, frizzy Gibson tuck after 4 tries and almost an hours hard work - I am so lucky I'm on holidays or I would not have time for this stuff.
