I keep my hair bunned at work and out at home

10-12 hours
12+ hours
I can only get my hair to stay in a bun for 3-4 hours tops before it just flops and starts coming out.
It's probably because my buns are almost the same size as my head!

Around 12 hours.
Corvana I definitely struggled with the weight of hair toys up until BSL, perhaps when your hair is longer your scalp won't be so sensitive? I used to think I was tender headed, I'm actually not it's just I didn't have enough length to support forks.
Finally finished growing out natural colour!
Maybe! I do still to be on the tighter side, so that could be it? They're able to be a little more loose than before, and I've gone up from ~4 hours max in a day to ~7-8 hours, up to 10 if I take it down for at least 20 minutes before rebunning.
I'm curious now to see how/if it changes! I don't think it's my sticks, they barely weigh a thing! It definitely isn't as long if I use a fork, so I'm really thinking now it could just be because I don't have enough length for optimal comfort!
Maintaining at Hip-BCL for now.

It depends where it is on my head. If it's a spot I don't usually wear buns at my scalp with get sore after a couple hours but a spot that is used to the weight, like the top of my head, I can wear all day. But my hair follicles are sensitive and any new direction will make them hurt.
I also had to get past 30" before buns weren't painfully tight. That was with alot of layers too.

My hair can be in a bun for days in without a complain. I just redo it at night to have a higher bun to be able to sleep on it.

I don't wear the bun very tight but it easily lasts all day. When it's hot I've left it up for multiple days and usually after about 2 days straight, my scalp will be sore when I take it down.
I bun for maybe an hour straight, and then I have to give my scalp a break (it's pretty sensitive and prone to aches). Sadly, it's pulsating as I write this. I kept it in for too long today. Even if this wasn't the case, my hair slips out too easily from them. Anyway, most days I don't bun at all and keep my hair down, it's what works for me. If anything, I bun to keep hair out of my face for a while. My alternative style is a loose ponytail with a soft silk scrunchie. It's a lot more lighter than a bun on me (less tension) and does the job.

I bun my hair in the morning and it is stable until I take it down in the evening/night. I am happy to have long hair because it's intrinsically stable. My scalp doesn't hurt, my neck or my back either although I have back pains almost daily. I don't get back pains because of my buns, I just wake up with sore back or my back hurts because I had a lot to walk that day.
All day. Lately I have been sleeping with a bun instead of a braid.
How often do I redo my bun? Well that depends on the bun and stick I use. I've been obsessed with the spock bun the past new months. But my shortest stick also happens to be my thinnest so it doesn't hold the bun all day. I may have to adjust it 3 or 4 times a day.
