Sulfates and dimethicone makes me itch, I generally avoid the other silicones because sulfate free stuff doesn't always remove them.

I vote neither sulphate nor silicones. My hair gets oily fast whenever i use sulphate or silicones which causes an increase in hairfall. Plus, i don't like the feeling of silicone residues on my hair after conditioning.
I use a sulfate shampoo. I've never used any silicones.

I tried without sulfate in my shampoo and my hair was a nightmare. So I'm definitely sticking with my sulfate.
With no sulphates my scalp flares up so no choice but to stick to them,am cone free but unsure if its right for me after all.
I went sulfate free first trying to find balance for my scalp which was itchy and oily with dandruff. Then of course I got build up because I was still using a coney leave in. Once I clarified and quit using the leave in, I had no more scalp issues so I'm keeping my current routine for as long as it works.

I use both "daily" because my scalp and hair seems to be ok with them, but the same thing happen with sulfate free and cone free products.
I use sulfates all the time but I don't currently use silicones. I like silicones when my hair is longer though
I wanted to give up sulfates and silicones for good but I think that my hair can't do without them for too long. Especially now, in winter, I feel like I need silicones more than ever.
