Its beautiful on you! I’m pretty sure I’m doing mine completely wrong, haha. So many diff versions of a bun out there, I can’t keep em straight.

Thanks! Yeah, it is kind of a weird bun since the anchor is so much lower than the first loop. Two hair sticks is the best way to hold them in my hair but YMMV

I’ve bought two more! I wanted them in elm and in nut since those are closer to my hair colour so they would blend a little better than the walnut fork.

    Two pronged fork in nut

    Two pronged fork in elm

Size comparison. The nut one is more dainty, the elm one more secure and a bit more bulky.

The finishing is more ‘handmade’ than my walnut one, that one had almost no dents and bumps. I like both though. Let’s see which one I gravitate towards!

Marco made the elm one per my request. I didn’t like the green grain on the one he already had listed. I’m very happy with his service

Love the nut color in your hair Mariekeeee14, very subtle.

I received a stick and a cute little fork today, both in nut. The fork reminds me of a Star Trek communicator

I like how lightweight they are, but the ends are so sharp I will definitely file and sand them down.

Mine also have a slight smell, not too bad, but not pleasant either. Maybe the coffee trick will help, but that seems like a waste of coffee

For anyone dealing with smelly hair toys, the coffee worked perfectly!
I put the hair stick and fork in a tupperware container with a layer of (dry, unused) coffee grounds and left it for (even less than) 24 hours and they have a light coffee smell now

So, this is what I got from Marco!

Nut wood hairfork that I got because of the color contrast. It's less saturated irl and I also expected the finish to be more shiny, but the contrast is just as prominent. :) (It's kind of visible at the tips, but otherwise my photo doesn't show it well.) It feels really sturdy, so when my hair is longer, I think it will be fairly reliable. Another LHC-relevant detail, all edges are smooth.

And then I got a custom, tiny flat hairstick! Also nut wood. This one doesn't feel as sturdy due to its thickness (thinness?), but it holds a cinnabun really well & it's as subtle as I hoped.

They look great! The flat hair stick is quite cute, I think I might want one...

I completely forgot about this maker until I pulled out one of the forks and wore for a day (everything is still a mess after my move). I think I could do with at least one more fork!
