I voted 2 inches. I wouldn’t know how to handle several extra inches of hair if I gained that overnight. My hair grows at average rate, and that allows me to get used to the longer length, day by day.
But I would like a magical holiday gift that decreased my hair shed! My ponytail thickness hasn’t changed in the past months, but I certainly don’t like seeing my longest hair strands in the drain when I wash my hair.

I'd went for 3". Or maybe even 2". It would get me to APL, which is quite a comfortable length for me - you can do almost anything with it, it looks nice in a ponytail, and it's ok to just leave it down. I wouldn't want to skip all the journey though - now I'm slowly learning how to care for my hair and enjoy the process sooo much I really don't know yet how to deal with HL hair, for example. And, who knows, maybe I'll never have my hair as short as now again, so I'd like to enjoy it like that without rushing anywhere.

EDIT 1 YEAR AFTER: I was young and foolish back then, give me 10 inches right now!

I chose 6". After BSL I'm not 100% sure how long I want my hair. It'll all be up to weight, ease of styles and care, and just how much I like it in general. Six inches will shoot me right to BSL, plus a little so I can trim. I'd like to grow my normal rate after that, though!
