I always wash in the evening. I plop for a while, then wrap it in my silk scarf and go to bed with it damp.
My wash time varies quite a lot. It's not always dry by bedtime, but I actually get awesome curls if I wet bun and have it dry that way, and going to bed with a damp bun is one of the best ways to wake up with awesome hair.

Night time, usually a couple hours before bed. I try not to shower in the morning because that’s asking for me to hurt myself overextending because I got warmer in the shower.

My hair takes a million years to dry naturally, so I'd like to wash my hair in the mornings Unfortunately, I usually end up doing so many things that I really only have time at night. I guess I'm going to try waking up even earlier.
I wash in the evening, let it air dry for a bit, then sleep with a loose cinnabun (no hair pin) in my silk sleep cap. By the AM, it's clean and just slightly damp.

I wash my hair right before bed on Saturdays, and I usually towel dry it and braid it before going to bed, so it's still damp. I like the puffy waves I get when it dries in a braid.
When I wash my hair on the weekend or during the holidays I do it in the morning. If I need to wash it during the week it is done in the evening.
My drying time depends on a lot of different stuff, like if I condition twice and if I use an aloe final rinse leave-in. These keep my hair damp for longer till next morning.
Lately I've been washing around 7-8 PM and I go to bed around midnight.
That varies a lot from wash to wash, but that's been my standard as of late.
Evening generally, although I'm working from home currently so I have more flexibility now than I had been used to. It's still halfway wet in the morning, but that's still easier to deal with than fully wet hair throughout the work day!
Any time of the day except night. It depends on the schedule for the day. I prefer afternoons/evenings (after having done the stuff for the day to unwind).
