Challenge accepted, Baanoo!
I decided to split the front from the back so that there's less tension on my hairline (a trick I picked up from Katherine Sewing). For whatever reason I decided to do flat/french rope braids so that ate up a bit of my length. I added a flower headband to disguise the part line as well as all the bobby pins and barrettes holding it together at the top!
Thanks for challenging me to do this style! I was thinking that rope braids were the same as two-strand twists, but after double-checking, they're actually a bit tighter since you twist more before crossing. My hair doesn't hold regular two-strand twists very well without gels or butters, but I was able to do this style with no product except for my leave-in. I will definitely be incorporating rope braids even more in the future.

Ooohh ETJ I haven't forgotten about the challenge - work has been taking a toll lately and the weather has been so windy that the idea of anything that loose is a tangle festival waiting to happen! Hopefully this weekend.
