I am wearing a clip in hair piece that gives me more fullness, which is why I think it turned out so well. I usually wear one when I dress up and for church.

Thanks Sarah so full and lovely.

when i wear two i have them crossed in the bun, like this:

it seems to lock everything in place, it's sturdier than just a 4 prong. Here it is in action, my head is tipped back 'cause i made the bun really high and i was trying to get both forks to show.

here's my cinna-ish bun with a 4 prong, as with all my buns it never looks quite like it's supposed to.

i also wear forks with my attempt at a nautilus bun, this one definitely never comes out looking like any of the nautiluseseseses i see on here. But whatever it is, it sure stays put!

and a side view. I like this bun because it looks more compact, and most people don't realize my hair is as long as it is when it's worn this way. Plus it shows more fork. Although that did lead once to someone at work asking me why i was walking around with 4 pencils in my hair.

whoo, that's enough of my messy hair day pictures.

i had to work to find the fork in some of your pictures Sarahlabyrinth, it was hidden in all that hair!

Beautiful photos Sarahlabyrinth. I really like the fork in the first photo in particular, can I ask where you got it from?

Hypno bun with the same fork. First try on this bun, feels really stable. I may have to include this on in my rotation.

That bocote fork is lovely bpbarnell! Bocote is one of the prettiest woods, IMO. And you have a great collection going there.

I'll post a pic of my four-pronged bun as soon as I can get on the computer! I love four pronged forks, there's something about the way they look that is so pleasing, both in action and on their own. Maybe it's the balance of sturdiness and elegance.

That grey fork is a custom made for me from GoodVillageWoodcraft on Etsy and is one of my favourite forks. I had it made so it would blend with my silvering hair.
