Very pretty and I love how that blue just pops!

    Oooh very nice!

I keep trying this bun every now and then, to see if I can finally get the hang of it, but alas - not yet. I don't want to blame it on having too much hair but it all does get a bit messy and tight. Any tips from folks with thigh-length or longer?
Growing back to definite-calf length with hopefully some semblance of a hemline.
Picky scalp but easygoing hair, thank goodness

Yeah I cannot get it to work. Even if I only do a third of my thickness, I have to wrap the length around in the "figure 8" part too many times and it starts to fall off my thumb.
The few times I've managed to get something I can stick a fork through, it looks like a jumbled mess, not the lovely, intricate creation it's supposed to be.

And I am totally blaming too much hair.

Sorry ladies. I am classic but quite thin.....so the part that wraps around is thin like a pencil. Fairy tail I guess.

My lengths are thin but I think needing to wrap too many times is the culprit. I guess I could try to modify it but the real appeal of this was not needing to wrap anything around the base - every single bun I've ever tried since being at LHC requires a zillion wraps around the base because there's so much thin length left over, which tightens everything up and makes the bun stick out (and not in a good way - it's just a bump in the middle). Plus any modifications I can think of so far make it into a different, already-existing bun

    I'll keep mulling this over
