Thread: Frequent washers club!

I'm back here, again! Allergy season (we're in spring where I live) is making daily washing a necessity, so i'm styling less with my beloved hair gel and using a coney detangling spray and a little mineral oil, so I can protect what little length I have from the wear and tear.
I might need to change my shampoo again the one I have is excellent for washing every three days, but it's a little bit drying when used daily. I'll probably buy another one from the same brand, but it's still annoying. I'm a creature of habit!

I made the decision a few months ago to go back to washing my hair every other day. I tried washing twice a week for a few months and it made my hair SO dry. My hair is much happier with this schedule. Dryness cured.

In the morning on wash days, I put a bit of olive oil on my length before putting it up and then I wash in the evening.

I leave my hair down and clean around the house with a messy toddler too often for it to still feel clean after day 2-3 so I've been sticking to that routine, 2-3 days I'll wash

I'm a three day person. Maybe when my hair is longer I can BBB it into lasting longer.

I did try no poo years ago for a while... wasn't for me! Found a lovely shampoo and leave in conditioner that I swear by though (no cones or sulfates).

My hair is feeling much better since returning to my old washing schedule. The dryness was really bothersome.

I think I’m ready to go back to washing twice a week. I’m going to experiment with lightly oiling my hair daily and see if that helps with the dryness.

I tried stretching my hairwashes all year last year. The result is clogged hair follicles. Back to washing every 3 to 4 days and have to invest in Nioxin to declog my follicles. Never again!

3/4 days on its own is pretty good, though!

I keep trying to stretch my washes beyond day 3 but my scalp is really not having it, anything past that and it starts getting sore. As much as I want to be able to stretch washes, I think I need to stop chasing after that and be realistic... I'm too oily for anything else

Me! I wash every 2 days as advised by trichologists, is what works for me, washing once a week make me experience a lot of problems in my scalp, my hair actually breaks less too and I see more growth now that I wash often
