My hair has curl to it, but I always comb it out. No shame here!

Oh, I have a laundry list of regular hair "sins"Ö
    • Using hair elastics to tie off braids
    • Washing in scalding water
    • Not clarifying
    • Blowdrying scalp hair
    • Doing the same bun almost every day
    • Detangling root to tip
    • Only detangling every few days
    • Wearing it partway down
    • Playing incessantly with the ends if they're in reach
    • Getting it tangled in jewellery
    • Not S&Ding
    • Not cutting out my old bleach damage

and I have no remorse either

Oh yeah, definitely guilty of this one too.

I can't even imagine detangling root to tip anymore. You must have incredible slip or magical hair.

I posted two weeks ago about washing [#94] but your list just reminded me that I "forgot" about #1 and #5. I use ahir elastics to tie off braids, in the same place even, and also wear the same style everyday. Rushing around at 2AM to get to work is really not the time to try something creative. But it works for me.

I think I went back to top-down detangling after FTL. Somehow it's just easier for me, maybe because I use my fingers and I can work them through most snags easily. Hitting a knot forces me to go further down and free it, but my overall path is root to tip. I don't see anything wrong with it, but I included it since it's contrary to the common "bottom-up" advice.

The same styles just work for me too. I found a bun I liked 6 years ago and am too attached to it to experiment further

I touch it way too much when I'm nervous or thinking! Sometimes I just twirl it, sometimes pick at the ends... it ruins perfect curls and probably damages the hair. How do you stop yourself from pulling off a single-strand knot?

I twirl curls into frizz, pick at split ends, and pull off single-strand knots! How do you stop yourself from touching your hair?

If I find myself doing this (sometimes I do, I'm guilty as charged) I grab my hair scissors and S&D. I surely find a few split ends and fairy knots but after I got rid of (most of) them I stop picking at split ends.
braiding, even side braiding helps taming my frizz. I can't even explain why, because my hair is still straight after I take it off the braid in a minute. I get braid waves if I keep my hair braided for more than 10 min though.
Well I don't have [volume on the] crown because I'm not a queen.

too many to count... i use a towel to dry my hair (sometimes i even wring it!!), use sulphate products, use a plastic hairbrush, don't use any oil (though this one might change soon), dye it once ever few years, do nothing about my split ends, sometimes use ponytail holders...
