    Thanks Bat!

I think that white thing is a clump of cat hair from my SO's long haired cat. It's pretty normal for me to find her hair mixed into mine particularly in the winter when the air is dry and staticky. Oh well.

I never thought of hair in this way! I guess this would explain why my hair grows slightly faster in the summer

A likely theory for this that I've heard is increased circulation in summer due to heat >> increased metabolism >> increased hair growth Would also explain why hair grows faster when you exercise!

It could also be argued that the periodic stressors of winter (fast reduction in temperature) could temporarily improve circulation.

I sincerely doubt that's the case for me - my entire body slows down with the cold. My circulation is categorically NOT helped by the cold
Length goal well and truly met, now just seeing how it grows ...
Picky scalp but easygoing hair, thank goodness

I feel like my recent chop has rendered my Yule length shot useless. So, I would like to replace it with this one so I can properly see how much growth happens over the next year. I hope you folks don't mind too much.

    Perfect solution, jane_marie.

I believe the increase in growth in warm weather has nothing to do with heat. It's the increase in hours of daylight.

Unfortunately, I don't have any back shots but I have this from yule/Xmas eve with a jumper that could easily measure length so I thought it'd work well!

My immediate thought was "but humans don't have chlorophyll!" Then I started imagining green people lol
