This is where we're at, 1 year on and my hair has ended up a little shorter than when I started but all of the dye is gone. Where to go from here, that is the question .. I do think I preferred the blunt ends though, currently I have some long layers.

I can't believe I totally forgot about this thread!
So I got freaked out about split ends two months ago and got 4 inches trimmed away with some layering. I felt I had to. Let's see if I've gotten any growth since then.
Winter 2021 after trim.................................Spring 2022
Not one bit of length increase! Plus it looks like the layers evened themselves out. ??
The color difference is due to lighting.

Looks like your layers grew down yep. Still looks amazing
I would agree, Spidermom: your hemline looks thicker here…
I think the way the pictures line up hides that you’ve had some growth, but it’s hard to say. In the picture on the right your shoulder is a bit higher than on the left, and your wrists are a little higher too. I think the hemline is in the same spot, so if all those body markers went up that looks to me like you got some growth, right?
This is why I measure stretched with a tape….once you get into the MBL range a difference of an inch or so is really hard to see, and can be eaten up by differences in wave pattern.

The line up does seem a bit problematic. Lets see if I can improve that with the pictures I have showing natural wave patterns (different every single day).

O.k., that's a little better. Now I can see that there has been some length increase, which is very encouraging. The hem certainly has filled in.
