    Thank you Mavi and Saralabyrinth

And Seeshami the Naughty Mess's colors do look quite lovely, imprisoned or not

Tried the plain crochet single braid today, succeeded after the first couple of loops thin hair has its advantages sometimes - it actually looks like something ... well, after the initial loose blob-thing going on below the nape (it slid down to the very bottom of my neck)

After a couple more tries it did occur to me that if the first 'stitch' could be anchored at the nape somehow with a flexi or something, that might stop it being quite so loose, but it looks like the french/dutch braid version has that built in. Will have to try that another day!
Knee by 'Nineteen - hooray! Tiny trim and now onto Calf!
Picky scalp but easygoing hair - phew

    Here's one with a paranda:

Ooh, pretty! Did you find the paranda helped anchor the start of it at all?

I do a few French crosses, then an English cross or two, then 2 more French crosses. Pull the length through the English braid loop, and no pins or flexis needed.

Sarahlabyrinth, as always, your gorgeous paranda buns are amazing, huge, and droolworthy.
