Will you keep your hair long after you reach your goal length?

I was thinking about this myself, although I am aiming for TBL at the moment and am looking forward to seeing how it looks, there are some shorter than APL haircuts I really like and want to try, also I find with shorter hair I can more easily mimic volume. So I might keep long hair for a couple of years or so, then do a charity chop and be a shortie, maybe for a little while, maybe longer, who knows! What about you guys?

I will be hitting my goal of hip in just a matter of weeks and have no thoughts of chopping any time soon

In fact I just told hubby this week, that if I ever end up in the hospital...DO NOT LET THEM CUT MY HAIR

as if that would be on their minds .....but I felt better saying it

I plan to take my long silver to the grave

I worked too hard to grow this out ( the longest I have ever been in my 64 years), and probably wouldn't have enough time to do it a again LOL

I just don't want them lopping my whole head of hair off if they ever need to shave a spot for something ya know?!

I can't even bear to think of other possibilities

....so I am going to bling it up while I've got it

Oh I know those fears. My Mom lost almost all her hair but, used Rogaine and it grew back all curly! But, she also did the perm/ strawberry blonde dye for almost all her life. More reasons to just let those natural silver strands just glisten and grow!

That was mine too; her hair superglued in place with hairspray which was applied every.day.,....and could stand hurricane winds!

It was only brushed out once a week and washed at the salon; then colored/permed/hot iron curled/re-sprayed

The whole back of her head was bald and she needed a clip in piece by the time she turned white and omitted the perms/color; sadly it was too little too late, and it totally mortified her.

I'd hate to have a spot shaved for a reason and they'd do my whole head....or as lapis said...cut for mats

Of course I'd probably not be aware at that point.....just stuff that crosses your mind as you are pampering your beloved locks

I have this fear too! The idea of that scares me so much!

Because the hair can get matted from surgery and I wouldn't want anyone trying to brush/cut it. Eek!!!

I grow my hair to have long hair, chopping it off when it gets long would be to ruin it all for me x) I do sometimes miss having above shoulder length hair, but I know that I get sick of that length very fast, so I'll just keep my face framing layers that length and keep the rest of my hair long.

Haha, I do not plan on cutting my hair off again, but I believe I needed it when I did it last year. This time I will take it slower and make sure to enjoy every length. Once I reach my goal, whatever that might be, I plan on staying there.

I don't plan on cutting my hair, but I do wonder if I'll like it long. I'm a couple of inches shy of APL now and that's the longest I've ever been. I love the look of waist length and longer on others, but I don't know if I'll like it on me, and with my hair. I'm kind of glad it grows slowly so I'll get used to it bit by bit.
