Hubby and I (stupidly) smoked in our late teens/early 20's ....and we both stopped cold turkey in 1974 when we decided to start our family.
We haven't taken it back in the years since, and are probably the worst non smokers out there (both of us having asthma now is a big factor)

Only occasionally. I'm the last one to say no if someone asks me if I do smoke and offers me a cigarette. Couldn't afford smoking on a regular base though and actually saw someone dying from lung cancer.

Nope, not my thing either. I do feel that those people who do and give up successfully are amazing people because nicotine is so addictive.
