Default Thinking about a big chop...

Hi all. I'm thinking about getting my hair cut like this (woman on right):https://instagram.com/p/8Jdgu7Rr_8/?taken-by=merediddys

    woman in middle: https://instagram.com/p/8JdRtDRr_d/?taken-by=merediddys

I'm on the fence...do you guys think that I could pull this off? http://imgur.com/HoYnnK8

I'm considering the change because my curls are really dragging...

I don't know. Your face shape is much different than the girl pictured, but I don't see why it couldn't work for you. It's going to take some effort in styling to get the curls to fall that evenly, I think.

I think that style is very pretty and it would probably suit you really well!
If the bounce and volume is more important to you than length, I say make yourself happy!

It's a very cute style, weather or not you can pull it of depends on ifyour curls have a lot of volume- creating a big triangle around your face wouldn't work well I think. Those curls look like they take a lot of work and or product to keep styled/untangled, even with natural ringlets.

However I must say your green eyes are gorgeous!...

Thanks!! I am worried about whether or not my hair would actually look like that. I don't want it to look like a triangle or a mop! I don't have really any volume or "perkyness" to my curls right now, probably because of the length. Here's me with shorter hair: http://imgur.com/XGsTZbR

I think your shorter hair picture is a better indication of what your hair going to look like short. It's nice to get inspiration from others hair, but unless you spend the time in styling and/or get the texture chemically changed, it is still your hair and will still look like your own lovely hair.

If you really want a change and have so for awhile, go for it! If it's just boredom or a case of being infatuated with someone else, try out some new styling tutorials or go and get your makeup done professionally, go to a clothing store and try a new look, find your own style not someone else's style.

Honestly I see that as a very awkward length. I think it would take quite a bit of product to achieve it. Why not go for something 3 or 4" longer so you can put it up and do some cute things with it?

I agree that it looks like it will take a lot of product to make it look like that. She has more volume at the roots to keep it from looking like a triangle. She also looks like she scrunches product into the length of it too.

I like it, but I would keep a little more length than she has if you really want something different.

Either way if you decide to chop I hope you share the end result with us!

I had a similar cut a few years back, and though it was fun for a brief while and it got a lot of compliments, I couldn't do much with my hair, I NEVER had decent 2nd day hair, and there was no way to just put in back in a ponytail and forget about it -- I HAD to style it.

I truly think the longer hair is more flattering to your features than the shorter hair was.
