Double Dutch braids while it marinates in a hair mask for the day.

Tuanyiji, that vertical LWB looks very neat, another great idea from you, to try.

I´m wearing a center held braided bun today, because totally unexpectedly my new hair clips arrived and I had to try them all... and this bun is perfect for them. So I´ve had about 6 different things stuck in the middle, and yes, I took pictures and I will post them in due time.
Thank you so much for your kind words, Nefcerka
Once again today, I had to build the orchid bun so many times... May be I need more exercising with that one.

After a low bun on Wednesday and a braid yesterday I am back to my usual high bun.

Nefcerka, thank you for the video! Yes, I love videos because I'm a very visual person. I was brushing my hair in the morning while reading this so I tried Milady's bun right away and really love it! It holds really well, feels neat (I haven't looked in the mirror yet, though) and is pretty easy to do! It feels like a Nessa bun without the final step. I have not tried a claw clip yet. I usually don't have much luck with them so I didn't even think to try. I will try next time I try a log roll. Oh! I can't wait to see all your hair pictures with your new hair toys *wonder what you got*

Fiorentina, I think a lot of my buns are not 100% correct, too. When I go and rewatch the video, I find that I've changed something or forgot a step...but I'm usually just happy if my hair stays up *laughs*

tuanyiji, your LWB with a vertical stick looks really elegant and sharp. I'm usually a diagonal stick person, but you have convinced me to try vertical ...though I do vertical sticks for the Viking Ponytail thing because it holds better (with my clear twisted stick from WEO <-thank you again! I love it to bits...hopefully not literally!) I found the bunny! It's adorable! I want a bunny, but the Powers that Be said no so I just watch people's bunny videos...is the bunny a hairpin? You make me want to put pretty things in my hair! ...but I'm kind of lazy and busy but I'll try to look for something...hmm...

floridaorchid, I am envious of your Dutch braid skill.

mochichichi, your username makes me hungry! They used to have the softest mochi ice cream at the store, but now they only have a hard brand *frowns* You and FloridaOrchid make me want to braid my hair...but it always gets kind of tangle-y after braiding and it seems to take a lot longer than a bun...it's a "wants vs energy" dilemma. I usually wear my buns high, too! I think it pulls less. Until Covid Times started, I only wore low buns...and then I discovered high buns and haven't gone back *smilies*

So I already wrote but I'm wearing a Milady Bun today (video link in a nearby post from Nefcerka). I didn't write that I'm using a smallish pink acrylic...LIdun? I think it was. Lately I have to use longer sticks for buns to stay, so I'm really happy this one works with a smaller one.

It was a lot of practice from youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A7u3FXsMfgA I like this video to learn. I can't find the one I had learned from, but I like that he focuses on the movement of dutch braiding before doing a full dutch braid.
Have you ever tried an infinity bun? It looks similar to the milady bun! I'm going to have to try it out now.

Ah that made me smile, I love "marinating" my hair before a wash as well. It is the only time my length can accept products in it. It does not look good (greasy) but if I have to go out, I always wear a tube scarf over my hair outside anyways, so no problem.

Orchid bun is very nice, Fiorentina, but I don´t think it is one of the stable ones. I think it fell out a couple of times on me, I had to secure it with extra bobby pins. Good luck!

You are most welcome, Aithne, I am glad you like it. (I had so much trouble with nessa, that I scratched it away from my list of "good buns", so maybe Milady´s bun resembles nessa to you, but certainly not to me ).

I´m wearing a log roll (sarahlabyrinth´s) today with my new duckbill claw clip (the blue sparkly one that I posted in the Flower thread). And it holds and it looks great, if I say so myself

    Thank you very much.
The rabbit is my favorite animal. It's one of the decorative pieces from my @tuanyiji_garden for the succulents, I drilled a hole on the bottom of the toy, cut a U-pin into two halves, and stuck the end into the hole, and tada, a temporary fix.
You can basically put anything in your hair as long as you want to, that’s what I learned from LHC.

Today's hairdo is a regular lazy wrap bun. I think being back to the basics would be a good way to start the second half of the year, and discover new variations on the way.

I know precisely what you are talking about, Aithne
To be honest, sometimes I do that kind of "modification" for extra and the reason why I proceed so is very simple. I am just doing it because the bun holds petter in place with the "modification"
