    Nice, Fiorentina!
I´m wearing the braid flip for the first time. I had thought I´d be difficult to do on my slippery, fine hair, but somehow it worked - I used a stick like tuanyiji in the ABC challenge, plus two bobby pins. It´s not perfect, but it holds, so I´m happy.

Here I am, I tried lapis_lazuli's inverted log roll twice and succeeded.
I used two fingers for the initial loop so it's easier for the hairstick to go through. I think to make the inverted bun, you have to get the pony base higher than usual if the hair is longer.

Let’s petition to make this Inverted Bun/Log Roll into our thesaurus, we really can use more buns starting with the letter I for those attempting the ABC hairstyle challenge lol. We can also have one more option for our future Hairstyle of the Month.

This is such a pretty bun, very elegant and dare I say, regal?

Here's the decorated version, all my hairdos decorated with flowers are in my main thread here: Fun with Flowers, Blooms in Buns/Braids, Corsage Coiffures, Herbal Hairstyles, etc

Thanks, tuanyiji, for posting your pictures of lapis´s bun. I tried it too, but wasn´t sure if I got it right - but now I know I did, mine looks exactly like yours (lapis_lazuli´s hair is vastly different from mine, so I could not compare the look properly).

Speaking of Braid Flip, here’s my old version in case anyone else is wondering:

Sometimes a picture paints a thousand words, in my case, 9,000 words lol.
I love to be a pictionary for all the LHC hairdos.

A pointer here: there is no need to make a very intricate French braid from top to bottom like I did, a few stitches on the back of the head are enough to act as an anchor for the braid to hold, for example, the Elling Woman braid will be a useful alternative for those who haven’t quite mastered French braid or Dutch braid.

It is the Chinese character of tuanyiji, which means Tuan’s journal. It can means many things, tu is a bunny, tuan is a bun; yi is one; ji is diary, notes, chicken, or bun.

Oh, that is so elaborate and inventive, tuanyiji, the meaning of your avatar, I love it. Also thank you for all your pictures, they are always very helpful.

Today I am wearing a brioche bun for the first time. Although in my case it is a mini-brioche , as my hair compresses so much, but I love it. It is totally cute, and I can wear my only pair of matching hairsticks with it.
