A Nessa bun...but I wanted to write Pha bun because I think I finally got all the parts of it down. I had trouble with the flipping part. I now wiggle-jiggle the pulling? part so it doesn't hurt or exert undue force on the stick/fork.

Wore my hair down today but threw it up fast with a rose pin, to go meet a friend for coffee/tea in a few minutes. She just got out of an emotionally and physically abusive relationship and needs a lot of support….the poor dear.

Yes, it’s amazing how different cameras, lighting and computers, translate various colors. In certain lighting when I use my phone camera, you’d swear my hair is red! Then with my digital camera on “intelligent setting”, it looks light brown.


In person though, the sticks have purple balls at the end and my hair is blonde.

a flipped cinnamon bun redid thrice
a lazy wrap bun redid thrice
a gibraltar bun, redid twice
a half flipped bun, redid twice
and I don’t even want to count the failed ones
I have been working on the #ABCBunChallenge for a week now, and even though I practiced on my mannequins most of the time, today alone I redid my bun a dozen times to test all the different techniques, and I’m afraid that’s the reason I shed so much. Too much manipulation caused mechanical damage. I now have to keep my hands off my scalp and go to sleep.
