My mom wore her hair out today in a cool peacock twist, colored again (after 8 months of gray outgrowth due to shingles/eye), and I wore my typical nautilus.

Next time she needs a few rollers in front for height & volume, and then she can blow dry the rest just fine. She used to roller set her whole head and sleep on the curls to let them naturally dry, but since she now has longer hair (between APL & BSL) it would take too long to dry overnight especially on rollers.

It is so nice to have my mom back again. And she feels much better now her hair is done again as well, so there is that!

English braid in a LWB. Have just recently gotten enough length to do it and has quickly become my go to style. Braid in LWB holds rock solid with a single stick and can drop easily into an english braid for naps, yoga, hat wearing, or anything else that doesn’t work with a lump on the back of my head.
