Olive oil all the way. The only good thing about coconut oil for me is the taste - but it makes my throat dry and scratchy; my skin dislikes it and it makes my hair crunchy. So given the choice between the two, gotta be olive!

(My preference for a heavy pre-poo oiling is babassu, currently with some castor oil mixed in too. Babassu seems to have the low melting point - lower, in fact - and good penetration of coconut but without the downsides!)
Length goal well and truly met, now just seeing how it grows ...
Picky scalp but easygoing hair, thank goodness

My hair loves coconut oil but it bothers my stomach when I eat it. I love to consume olive oil though!! I don't know if I ever tried olive oil for my hair. I think the smell would bother me if I did an overnight oiling. I don't bother trying out other oils because coconut oil is perfect for my hair.

Coconut oil works perfect for me. I tried olive oil but it makes my hair greasy.

I love coconut oil. I use it before washing my hair and I can say it definitely protects it against my shampoo

Coconut doesn't agree with my hair. It actually made it feel and look drier. A prefer avocado oil but also use olive oil.

Hurray! I've reached tailbone length! Last trim 1-2-23.

Coconut oil soaks before shampooing for sure. It's a staple in my country. Olive oil is ok too.

Olive oil leaves my hair greasy. My hair soaks up coconut oil like a sponge.

For my both are great but I voted for Coconut Oil because I use it more often than olive oil.
