    Default June 2015 - Spidermom's bun

This has been my go to bun for the past year or so. I tend to wear it low at nape (frequently with a hat), but I also wear it higher, or even vertical.

Here is Hypnotica's tutorial, very short and provides some text descriptions but a little dark.

Here is Linguaphilia's tutorial, a little longer, well lit.

Mod hat off. Mod hat on. Don't make me wear the mod hat, it messes up my hair. *grin*

I haven't tried the Spidermom bun before, and I'm not sure I got it quite right, but here you go!
Sorry if the picture is huge - uploading from my phone so I can't tell.

    PS - it's very comfortable!

Thanks for the link. I really like the Spidermom Bun. Mine looks a bit different than the one pictured by ashke50. So simple to make, and so pretty, either way!

When I do this bun, I usually have to pull the right loop of hair a bit more towards the nape of my neck, over the base of the bun, so I get that beautiful stylish look that I lacked in the beginning of my tutorial, where I didn't do that. You'll see what I mean if you compare the beginning with the end.

I think I did this correctly, but I'm hairstyle impaired.

Not the neatest; thrown up on Christmas morning more than 5 years ago. I'm modeling a new hair fork gift. Thanks for the reminder; this style had fallen off my radar.

Wow! I think this is going to be my new go-to style. It holds much better than my usual no-braid bun (nautilus) and also doesn't seem to have the tangle risk that that has either. Thanks, whoever decided to choose this one (and thanks Spidermom for inventing it).

After I discovered it, I found out that Neoma discovered it, too.
    (great minds think alike, right?)
