Now I've tried it too. I did find it a bit difficult to distribute and work into my hair, since it is quite liquid. I ended up just pouring it over my scalp and mushing it around a bit.. Other than that, when I was rinsing it out my hair felt nice and slippery, like I had just applied conditioner. I will report back once my hair has dried

In my experience, aloe is a much weaker humectant than glycerine. That stuff is pretty potent.
Maybe it's more geared towards dry scalp? Hence the glycerine?

So .. It made my hair feel sort of soft and fluffy, which is nice, but it also doesn't look as clean as it usually does after a shampoo wash - it was still a bit stringy looking near the scalp. Although maybe I just need to play around with the recipe and my washing technique a bit, I don't know.

I've been using ground oats on my face for awhile now. Tonight I boiled the oat powder I use for a few minute and then threw it in the blender to blend up all the tiny chunks. I ended up with a thick liquid that was slippery and felt a lot like shampoo. I used it on my hair...waiting for it to dry now!

I tried it, using whole rolled oatmeal.
It did make the lengths of my hair soft, but they also felt weak and weightless.
It also made my roots feel greasy and stringy, but any time I use just water, or an infused water of some sort, no shampoo, to wash my hair, it turns greasy, so it could just be me...

No problem Like I said, I think it might be a matter of getting the recipe and technique right. Maybe I'll try again this weekend!

Well it made my hair really soft and shiny, but my scalp didn't feel clean. It actually felt dirtier when it dried than it did before I got in the shower. What I did notice though was that my normally slightly itchy scalp felt really REALLY nice! Better than it has since forever! I really wish it would have cleaned my hair because I love what it does for my skin. I will continue using this as a face and body wash.
