    Ahhh thank you!

Yeah the reason I am asking is because I am venturing on the hair stick road myself. I couldn't see the flimsy headpins that are normally sold here at the stores do that I have bought more sturdy ones from a befriended seller in the USA, and those are thicker, they do hold their shape.

Nightshade ... what do you use to drill the holes in the tops of your sticks with? I've got several that need drilling, I'm just not sure what to use to do it.

Yes, the ones I use are quite thick, the seed beads barely get on them.

You have to drill them in yourself?

I haven't been able to find many blanks though.. certainly not undrilled ones.. where on earth do you get them then? Or do you use blank sticks from the hardware store or something and sand them to shape?

Just wondering how the basics are done

I'm anxious to see your work, eadwine! For sticks, I just buy a dowel at either Walmart or a hardware/home center. Cut it into as many stick sized sticks as you can then just work the ends. That way you can get a couple sets of really nice sticks for about $.40 US. ...you can even use a pencil sharpener to get a nice tapered end then sand it smooth. hth

Default bracelet about to be "hair armor"

    Hi all,

This weekend I found a great bracelet at a garage sale.

I was immediately reminded of magicat's post about her hair armor that she bought at a renaissance festival.
It is listed on page 4 "a hairtoy challenge for april"
The pic is here: (I think it's the last one on page 2 of pics)
    http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/...hp?albumid=681
It also reminded me of these hair decorations:
Click here: Google Image Result for http://www.eshubham.com/shop/catalog/images/billaiset-1.jpg

so, now I"m asking for all you creative people to give me some ideas on what the best way to transform this bracelet would be. I need to come up with some hair safe way to hook the top of it to my hair.

    Finally: here is the bracelet:
