Sycamore is a gorgeous wood for hair toys! Don't try to make anything super thin and it will hold up well.

I sewed this leather barrette thing. It was an experiment so it's not the neatest but it's pretty good. A bit heavy for my fine hair. It was inspired by ficcares and other stick-holder solutions. I like the earthy vibe

And here are mine. Those are from copper and nickel silver (wire + sheet). I was obsessed with the idea of stained glass hair forks, so I experimented with clear epoxy resin and dyes. The hair stick was initially supposed to be filled with resin too, but then I decided to leave it as is.
