Any recommendation on how often we should use this?

You can choose I guess, based on what your hair needs! You can do it every wash (though that sounds like a hassle), or weekly or every fortnight or every month! Jus experiment and see how your hair responds.

For my hair a SMT does not weigh it down so for a period of time I did it weekly.

An SMT is often my go to when my hair just feels'blah'and I want to do SOMETHING, but I'm not sure what. More often than not, it fills the bill!

Sorry this is unrelated to the question FallingDarkness....but I just had to comment on your hair! Its absolutely stunning!!

I don't think you can go wrong with how often as long as your hair likes all the moisture. For some people, balancing moisture and protein works best but for me my hair is sensitive to protein but loves moisturizing treatments. So for me, doing SMT every wash is just fine.

I no longer have access to a microwave...does this stuff still work if it's not warmed up?

You can also warm it up on the stove with a double boiler

That seems so scary tho lol
Is it just not effective cold then? I'll risk it for the biscuit if this is my best option!

A double boiler is a very gentle way of warming stuff up though. I don't know if it is effective without heat. Just try and you can always wash it out if it doesn't work

Is the honey a problem if it's not warmed up first? I read on the forum that in some cases raw honey can bleach hair.

Doing this right now. My hair is experiencing protein overload so I'm doing this in an attempt to set things right.

I used 4 tablespoons of Love Beauty and Planet smoothing conditioner with 1 tablespoon each aloe very gel and honey.

I did notice curdling as I was mixing it. Some liquid seemed to separate from the mixture. Whisking it vigorously with a fork got it to come back together somewhat. I don't think I'd use this conditioner with this treatment again. I'm going to try and leave it for two hours, if not longer. I will report back with my results! I do expect to have to do this treatment a few times to take care of my protein problem, though.

Oh, I also wet my hair before applying. I did not wash it though.
