Lol, I'm REEEAAALLLYYYY tempted to try the deep red henna. But I did not see the individual ingredients listed, so I'm a bit hesitant.
Hi Texangrrl,
Yes that might work. I'm sure the link that I provided has the ingrdients in each one listed.
I've sometimes used red fruity herbal tea extra strong added to my henna and its made a difference until I wash it. Then its gone.
My henna hasn't arrived yet but will take a couple of weeks still.
My natural hair colour is ashy brown in front and canopy but medium to dark brown underneath.
It seems that all three of us have similar natural hair colour.
I bet this deep red henna with spice up your colour nicely.
Come onnnn! You know you wanna!!!
We can both post pics

Ok, so after doing a little more research, it seems like it's the hibiscus that makes the red more vibrant. So I think I'm going to order red raj and get some hibiscus powder to mix with it. I'd like to do a full head application with that and hopefully it'll get that richer red that I'm looking for.
I just ordered Henna Guys Burgundy! I'm excited to try it, but I might wait till November because I'm going to be unemployed and will have time to leave it in all day.
Is this considered to be burgundy hair?
If it is, i love it so much! The most awesome thing is, people keep asking which dye i used to achieve this deep shade and they are shocked when i say it's just henna. They say they thought henna made hair look clown-orange Apparently, after 3 layers, henna looks more red-burgundy-plum than orange on naturally dark hair.
Chin /// Shoulder /// APL /// BSL ///Waist /// Hip /// BCL /// Tailbone /// Classic (final goal) /// All one length Classic
That's a lovely shade Dreams in Pink. The colour one gets from henna depends on the colour you started with as well as the colour you use and the application; length of time, ingredients used, porousity of hair etc. sometimes I can get some bungundy from regular henna but not as much as I'd like. I prefer the cherry cola colour or burgundy rather than the orangey colour.
But then again, I just like change.
Is that 3 applications of regular henna over dark brown hair?
What type of henna is it you use? Jamilla?
Have you ever tried red rej or deep red henna?
Don't you think a henna ombré would look cool? Regular henna colour with burgundy ends?
I wonder how it would look?
Thanks for posting the pic Dreams in Pink.
I'm so glad you decided to stick with henna cause it sure suites you.
It looks beautiful in the sunlight too. I saw it in the "post your henna pics here" thread.
