I have now spent my afternoon and early evening by reading this topic and admiring the hair presented - such vividness and amazing colors They always makes me quite happy. Shine, also!

I am also seeking an advice, since so many of you have some experience with the bleach and coloring after that with different options. I have a situation where my hair suffered some bleach damage (2 - 3 months ago), when I brought it back from the pitch black box dye to something like darkish auburn color. I proceeded with one layer of henna (also, about 2 - 3 months ago). Since then, I have colored it with one layer of Elumen, about 1,5 months ago. Now, the vividness of the color has faded from my mid back to ends, mostly, and they are turning to brownish. I want to reddish hue back for midsummer. Yet, I do not wish to damage my hair, as the elasticity of it has finally returned.

I think my options here are A) henna gloss - about 1:1. I eventually want to go back to henna, but I am ever so afraid of possible drying effects. Gloss might help, but... I am unsure. Yet, apparently henna has some strengtening effects and might help some with the damage. The other option for me would be B) Herman's Amazing direct color, deposit only (its 100 % vegan, with INCI as follows; Water, cetearyl alchohol, distearoylethyl hydroxyethylmonium methossulfate, ceteareth -20, citric acid, basic yellow 40, phenoxyethanol, basic violet 16, methylparaben, ethylparaben, butylparaben, propylparaben. Most of these are unfamiliar ingredients to me.). With the option B) I would continue to do Olaplex treatments for strengthening, though not same time. With Henna gloss I think they might be unnecessary. However, option B fades probably quite fast... I do not dare to use Elumen again, for it might dry the hair. The shine was - and still is - incredible though!

This might be very individual thing, but which route sounds more wise to you?

    Hi Milynn!
On me, henna is just as strenghtening as Olaplex, but everyone seem to have different opinions about henna properties (aside from the ability to dye hair and skin Red, of course).

Deposit dyes, like Herman's, require less commitment than Elumen and henna. If you are still on trial-and-error, direct dyes sound easier to me

OMG I love this, lithostoic! You are so darn pretty, too. I wish I did things like this when I was younger. My daughters both have long blonde (one blondish) hair, but they are not into inspirational colors. Wonderful colors, hair and inspiration.

Wow. I admit I'd never be patient enough for this. The aquamarine is also my favorite.

    Bri, it's really a gorgeous shade of turquoise/kingfisher blue! It's Elumen Tq@all.
I'm sorry for the bad photo(s), but we are installing the AC these days, so I have no glamorous makeup and fancy hairdos to pair with the pretty color

The only thing I'm not sold over, is the purple root. Too pinky. Before washing I'll take the Tq@all higher to overlap better.
Both of you are killing me LOL I love how these look make me want to go blond so I can have fun with some colour as it grows, must...resist
