Hmmm... You kind of have to fiddle around with them a lot. What kind of bun are you doing? Does the LWB work for you?
I'm having a devil of a time figuring out how to use a hair moon. When I put it into my bun to secure it, the bun gets all kinds of messy, & the moon flops around. I want the moon to be flat against my head with the tines pointing to one side or straight up, but it flops around to where the tines point straight back instead. What is the mystery of using a hair moon?

Torrinpaige has a good video on it.
I've tried the LWB, the Nautilus bun, the Neoma knot, & the cinnabun. With all of them, by the time I'm done finaegeling the moon into place, the bun's a complete mess (I like to keep them sleek). And the moon flops over within anywhere from 0 seconds to 1 minute. 'Tis frustrating!

I usually do a double wrap nautilus with mine, I also can make my small one work in a bee-butt bun pretty well. My bigger one I just got though, that's flatter....having more issues with it. I made up a wrappy bun for it, which I'm sure exists and I just don't know the name too. But so far it's been the only one I can make the bigger work well in.

I often use a spin pin underneath.
That being said, I can usually make one work in an Artemis bun.
In my avatar I totally cheated- secured cinnabun with spin pins and put moon behind cinnabun- will be trying everyone else's suggestions when hair gets longer though. But I think cheating is acceptable for such a pretty thing as a moon.
I'm feeling nervous about receiving my first moon... It's a larger one, and I really hope I can make it work!!
I'd really like to know this as well. I've owned two moons but got rid of them both because I just couldn't make them work and I love the look of them.![]()
Forgot to mention, I've tried a figure-8 bun, too, which seems to hold the longest (about a minute) before flopping over.
Maybe moons are just better as accents than as workhorses?
