Oh, I did get four medium sized claw clips as well, in pink and orange (so that I can use one on each side of a bun). Which means... 16 clips altogether!
I will definitely try the disc bun with the clips (it's nice to hear that they work well with disc buns as it's one of my favourite buns).

Thank you, Agnes Hannah. It holds really well, too.

My question to you all is how do you keep your hair up in claw clips while showering? MY wet hair always starts sliding down and pulling on my hair. With my hair texture, my hair is way heavier when wet than when it's poofy/airy, so once it starts sliding down, with the weight of a clip and all, it starts hurting.

It's better to clip your hair to the top of your head, rather than have it hanging off the back and pulling down.

Wosie here's my clipped disc bun from today, has been solid for 9 hours now

Goody claw clip holding a bun from the side. I have other claw clips that are prettier but the goody has a great hold (as JJJ Longhair says).

These weren't included in the group picture because they arrived today, and I didn't feel like taking them out of the packet just yet.

I love claw clips but I have very fine, lightweight hair so I only need the tiny ones, which thankfully are dirt cheap. I'd like to get some onyx ones from France Luxe though.

What's great about tiny claw clips is that no matter how unruly & slippery my hair is, a pretzel bun with claw clips ALWAYS works! (Thank you to JJJlonghair)
Wow that's great This is JJJ I am so happy this bun works for you. I LOVE CLAW CLIPS! I have fancy ones but they hurt and are heavier. I have tried many kinds and have found that the Goody Brand ones with 9 teeth are the best ever. I need the clips to look like a "C" when open. No zig zag clips are comfy to me.They are also so light weight and the 9 teeth cover more scalp area which means less pulling. Since the clips come only in 3 colors, I have started hand painting some or adding some little flower decorations to a few. I mainly love the clips for the ease and comfort for everyday.
I can count on them holding all day. I have a few videos using them. I also have a newer Pretzel Bun Tutorial for 2014 using the Goody Clips.Your link shows my original Pretzel Bun with shorter hair (and the clips were not great in the 1st video) There are NO silicone grips or pointy spikes in these. The ears (part you hold with fingers) is also smaller compared to a lot of others I have. I feel silly with the clips sticking out far on some of the fancier ones. I rather use more muted clips and make the focus more on the hair and not the accessory. These clips are my go to accessory and I have several backups in case they discontinue making them. I have used these for about 4 years and only broke 1.In the video I show the clips up close.

I love claw clips, but I have real trouble getting one big clip to hold my plait onto my head since it's so long :\ I have to french plait my hair, fold it over twice and put the clip over it, but it's so difficult to get right :\ Anyone got any tips?
