JOINING THE RAOK (Random Act Of Kindness) THREAD:

The RAOK thread is accepting new members for an upcoming color wheel offer. Participants are responsible for all shipping fees. This offer is open to forum members who have the capability to PM, have no negative feedback, and have not participated in other multi-item offers on RAOK. If you're not sure if this is you, send me a message to inquire.

RAOK THREAD MEMBERSHIP:

If you are a currently listed member, we need you to be able to receive private messages. You will need to have posted a minimum of 25 posts outside of the Swap Board.

In the case that you claim an offer as a giftee and it does not work for you for any reason, you are expected to offer it again as a new RAOK item so someone else on the current list can enjoy it. Items gifted in this thread should not appear on the swap board as items to be sold/traded. This practice would strongly discourage potential gifters, whom we solely rely on to keep the thread thriving.

THREAD RULES:

Let's treat each other with kindness and respect. Once you claim a toy, PM the gifter with your address so they can mail it to you. Some international gifters may indicate they expect the costs of shipping to be split, others may not. At times, shipping will not be included with particular offers.

Once you receive your gift, you are expected to post an action shot of your new lovely in the thread. You may also leave a positive itrader rating for your gifter. Remember that posting an action shot acknowledges you have received your gift and produces warm and fuzzies when your benefactor sees how good it looks on you and that you will put it to good use. You will be reminded twice to post an action shot in case that you forget. Your name may be removed from the RAOK list permanently if we do not hear back from you after all reminders have been exhausted.

If you are anticipating long stints of time away from the forum or an emergency comes up, please let us know so we can work something out. The goal here is to prevent sending the message to any of our benefactors that their gift is not appreciated.

This thread is kept going through the generosity and goodwill of all LHC gifters so if for some reason your hairtoy gets lost in the mail or is damaged during shipping, please remember it was sent to you with the best of intentions, but sometimes...life just happens. Please keep in mind that at times there may be long waits in between offers. Other than these particulars, have fun!

Just a thought... but wouldn't it be easier to offer up all the pay it forward (PIF) swap items one by one in separate posts?

This is not meant to be a thread, really. I just listed the one toy that is up right now because originally it was 2 together, but one person got gifted one of them, leaving the other up for grabs. This is just mean to be a list people can reference if they have a toy they want to give away to another person that is starting out their collection.

Oh, I was not criticizing your list, I think it's a great idea. Just the other thread is a little (no a lot) confusing. And I was wondering if maybe separate threads for each item wasn't the way to go.

I tried to quote and gave up after 15 minutes of waiting and it just proved my point...

This forum is so laggy/unstable that having a new thread for every item being offered when we cannot delete them or edit the title would make it worse. The thread may get a bit confusing at times but someone steps in and gets it sorted/explained and the putting at the bottom of posts what is up next is helping. Once people get the hang of it it goes smoother, I've seen this same thing on other forums and after a week or so it goes well.

The list will actually help that thread keep moving, I believe. Because someone can claim a toy from the PIForward thread in the name of one of the people on this list, offer up their own toy, and keep it rolling along!
