Loving all your reveals
Everyone looks so pretty, and it is so neat to get a glimpse of a beloved hair toy passed on for gifting ....enjoy
Loving everyone's pics! All of your toys look lovely on you!
Entangled, if you look on the "stick" of the Flexi, that goes into the 8 part, it should have a S. M. L, etc. on it. Alternatively, you can measure the stick, and they have the measurements on their site.

I’ve been a little concerned about breaking my new glass stick by making an insecure bun, so I came up with this style! Double nautilus held by my glass stick. The stick is not very visible, but since I love the feel of it (it’s so solid and cool to the touch!Weird, I know) it doesn’t matter so much to me that it’s in stealth mode.

That's an ingenious solution Entangled! You can see just enough to pique your interest while protecting your new beauty
I love the reveals so far! Can hardly wait for more
Received my box! Thank you so much to the people who were willing to share their hair toys... I love them all!
The first is a white dangly bow flexi. This one is so pretty and feminine!
I have some photos of when I was a child, and I'm wearing HUGE, frilly, bigger-than-my-head, girly hair bows. (no, i'm not sharing them, they're embarrassing, lol.)
Anyways, I like this flexi because it reminds of me of those, but this is the grown-up, more elegant version. The little white bow really makes me so happy and sentimental.
The second is a wooden carved hair slide. I wore it in a half-up style, and it is awesome. I like to turn it over and over, wondering how someone could carve something like this, with it's intricate swirls and the rounded out space inside for all my hair. I'm not sure of the wood, it reminds me of a walnut stain? It is really light weight too, I LOVE how much it stands out, while still being seriously light weight and therefore not hard to wear at all.
Third is this glass hair stick. It is amazingly smooth. Goes in your hair like, well, glass - lol. I never would have thought to get glass in a hair accessory, I was afraid it would be too delicate. But this stick is not, it is very sturdy and has a night heft in your hand. I think it was supposed to glow, but I couldn't get it to charge with either sunlight or with a regular lightbulb... I wonder if it would light up in blacklight? Unfortunately my rave and party days are many many years in the past, lol, but I'm tempted to stop at the store for a blacklight bulb anyway, just to test if it does. But even if it doesn't, I really like the stick as-is... It just lights up whenever I turn my head, I love the way the light shines through it. It's a very pretty stick.
Fourth is this green dymondwood spiral stick. I just love green so much. And it actually looks darker in the photo than it does in real life, when you look at it in person, the different shades of green on it really stand out against my dark hair, which I love! Also I can really see this becoming one of my go-to daily hair sticks, because it holds a bun completely solid! Must be the way it spirals into my hair, that makes it so secure? I dunno, but I Love it!
Thank you to the people who gave these to me, they have a happy home with me and I will treasure them. (and of course thank you to dweamgoil also, for her hard work coordinating the gift event)
(More photos on the way, work in progress)

Much love to all my fellow long hair peoples!

I can't see a lot of photos on the forums (because of my post count) but for some reason I can see many of them in this thread. Just wanted to say that these buns and twists and the combs/toys are amazing! My hair is past BSL but it is so fine/thin that having hair full enough to use these types of tools is my (probably impossible) dream!
Not impossible at all! Actually having thinner hair makes you able to use hairtoys earlier, as those with thick hair usually need more length before they are able to pun. You just have to find the right sizes for ypu My hair is medium/average thickness and BSL and I have used hairtoys since it was a little ways past collarbone When you have enough posts to PM, maybe PM Lunasea, she has thin and fine hair and might be able to give you some pointers to begin with.
Beautiful...and ingenious idea
Those toys look stunning in your hair
It IS possible....my hair is super fine and wispy and I have a lovely collection of hair accessories and styles to have fun with....and you will too
I love acrylic sticks with Lilla Rose flexis ....minus the attached stick ...thanks to Lunasea & C_Bookworm for the idea)
Ficcares/fakkares/alligator clips, claw clips, barrettes, bun makers, and scrunchies of varied materials/sizes
Whatever catches your eye...think about sizing (for YOUR hair) and practice different styles (make adjustments as you need to); you will find your own creative expression

Hey, I'm really wanting to post some of my action shots, with the sticks I can find that the toddler hasn't hidden, but I can't figure out how to post them! I tried all the "normal things, but if anyone could help, that would be awesome. Thanks, friends.
I'm a crow. I like shiny things. And I'm more than a little obsessed with hair, even tho I keep cutting mine off.
I'm not cutting it for two years though, so we'll see how it goes!
