I hennaed my hair once a couple of years ago, and I loved it at the time. But in the long run it made my hair a tad dryer and it somehow made my curl pattern a bit less uniform, so I didn't do it again. My hair is dark and you can only see the henna in very bright sunlight, so there's not much growing-out pain involved
As of now I only have a couple of inches of hennaed ends left.

I have used just about everything, I quit dye about 2.5 years ago and won't go back to the heavy chemical dyes however I just used henna and have enjoyed how my hair responded, I used Swedish blonde which really only shows on my gray hair but makes it look like I have highlights. I also have several inches of the old chemical dye still but I am going for terminal length so it's staying till they all grow out and fall out by themselves.

I am never using box dye again, but henna continues to be a temptress!

Now that I've been growing out my natural hair for over two years, though, its curl pattern is so different, especially now that I know the importance of proper moisturizing

I'm growing out bleach so I have about 6 inches of virgin roots, and just hennaed my underlayer, so my hair's kinda wacky right now.

I've used henna for about two years now. Before that I'd never dyed my hair.

I've never dyed my hair. My sister always had bad experiences with hair dye so I never bothered with it myself. I also think I would be too lazy to keep re-dying the roots as my hair grew!

I've been highlighting/dyeing my hair for 16 years! I just decided to grow out my natural color...I don't even know what it is! I started with highlights at 15 due to losing my natural blonde hair...it started turning brown. So yeah, for all these years I've had blonderexia and now I am just tired of it and want to have healthy long hair :-) never tried henna

From age 16 to age 32 I coloured my hair. Most of the time it was highlighted with blond then someone suggested I go darker and I did. But once I went too dark and it didn't match my skin tone. I had short auburn hair for awhile as well and of course had hair mishaps when I coloured it the wrong colour which resulted in stripped the colour out to re-colour it. My hair was breaking off everywhere. What a mess and what a lessen!

Over the years I've learned to appreciate the colour I was born with. Now that it is turning grey it is a transition and it does age me. Although I feel this way I don't want to chemically alter my pigmented hair in order to 'hide' my whites (they're really aren't 'grey').

I am currently natural, but in 2003 I got some highlights done [never again]. I love my natural hair color, and I don't think I'd have the patience to color and maintain it otherwise..

I have been considering cutting up to waist lately :O It is currently just above TB, b/c I keep trimming it...

Hennahead for 8 years. It's only a bit darker and redder than natural for me, so I waver on it from time to time, but I always come back.
