Your hair colour - natural, dyed, or henna

Used chemical dye for probably 15 years, have been using henna and indigo for almost 3 now. Trying to turn back time(cover my gray) I wish I was fortunate enough to have my natural color-before gray that is. I would love to not bother with the hassle of dying roots every month.

I used chemical box dye on and off since I was a teenager. I have done various shades of red and brown, and occasionally I did blonde streaks. I found out about henna last year and I thought it was a less damaging alternative. At first I did a mix of henna and cassia, then when I found the orange red shade did not really mesh with the rest of my colouring, I used henna and indigo which turned a dark brown and looked even worse. I took out as much colour as I could with ColourFix and I'm now growing out my virgin colour. I'm contemplating blonde again once all the henna is grown out but that will take a couple years so I'm in no rush to decide.

I voted cheese because I've done it all! I used dye (different reds & browns and black) for 5 years, bleach for another 5 years, grew it out and had virgin hair for 10 years. I did my first henna gloss a week ago and fell in love with that stuff. So good bye virgin hair!

I have virgin hair and have all my life. I will admit that I am tempted by cassia... The gold tones with the conditioning properties sound delightful!

I voted cheese because semi-permanent dyes aren't on the list and I often eat cheese while I'm sitting with saran wrap on my head. Technically I am using a chemical dye, but a non-damaging one.

I used box dyes for about 20 years. If semis were no longer an option I would go back to them in a heartbeat, despite the damage and the fact that they make me shed like crazy. I hate my natural color, and henna would look horrible with my skin tone.

I have been dyeing my hair most of my life. I tried henna a few times but the color never flattered me. I have switched over to a permanent, deposit only dye that leaves my hair in great shape so I don't see any reason to stop my hair color addiction any time soon.

I consider my hair virgin deluxe, since the henndigo just helps me keep the same color it gros from the scalp all throughout the ends without any fading/weathering whatsoever.

All virgin, never dyed it. My hair is black, so I'd need to use MAJOR bleaching for any kind of dye job.

If I had lighter virgin hair, I'd love to experiment with colors, but for now I'm good with natural hair.
