I did have to use a nail file to soften the tip as it had the smallest split and was ripping hairs but it was an easy enough fix not even really worth mentioning. I really like it I have to say.

I like this one alot! Although I'm sorry to hear about the split, wonder how she didn't catch that. Glad to hear you were able to fix it.
Much love to all my fellow long hair peoples!

    Thanks y’all!

Alexandria, the split really was soooo minuscule you could just barely feel it. I doubt you could even see it. It was just something I mentioned bc before lhc I most likely wouldn’t have thought a thing about it and just kept using it not paying any mind to it but With just a few swipes of the nail file it took care of it so it glides in perfectly smoothly now.

Just a tip in case anyone reading should experience the same with anything they use in their hair that it’s most likely easily fixable.

With all the knowledge we got on here, losing hairs unnecessarily is a thing of the past for me, lol.

I saw there were new kind of hair toys in her shop, icicle helixes, some kind of combination of hair stick and helix. Has anyone tried them yet? I'm really intrigued.

I got my first Furnival's piece! Okay it actually arrived 3 weeks ago, but I haven't had time to get decent photos. (Shipping took 6 weeks to Taiwan, for those curious.)
This is a 4" functional prong length helix made from Cherry Plum, which is one of the most lightweight woods I've tried (compared to, say, padauk or purpleheart). I've been wearing it loads since I got it, and I'm very pleased with the hold. However it does take a teensy bit longer to insert since the coils are smaller than my other helix (from ChurchSt).
    Here's the helix!
    Here's an action shot
I loved this so much that after I got it I immediately started hunting for my next piece. Claire ended up reserving this gorgeous 6" hawthorn icicle helix for me. I haven't seen any icicles on here yet, will definitely be posting action pictures when I get them!
