No worries, cat! I've found helix forks are my holy grail of hairtoys, and with a hoard of them I'm happy to share any info. I can.

I am having a helix fork made and have some questions about length. I’ve never used a helix before, so that’s one issue. I will check out the helix thread suggested by Crystawni (thank you!) but mostly I’m wondering about length, especially how much extra length is reasonable when one is still growing towards a goal? Any thoughts on that, seasoned wood helix fork users?
I woke up like this (brushing the top of my calves somehow??)

Hope you were able to pick a length! I usually get enough length to maybe "grow into" when I can, but no clue how that would apply to helixes.

Thank you! I think so too - it's exactly what I like: minimal, a bit geometric, and a bit chunky.

I got my Furnival! I lovelovelove it. It is minimal but beautuful, smooth, long, and stays in my initial braided bun very well. This may become a staple fork.

I also recorded an unboxing video because I thought that would be slightly unusual and fun.
