Center, straight back or a side part from right to left
In the middle, mostly, but right after I've washed it the front tends to fall to the left, like a reverse-Ariel.

My natural is a middle parting, which I prefer, but I try to move it around as much as possible bc I'm horrified by the idea of a widening of the parting. For updos, it depends on the style.
I like how clean and polished a middle part makes one look.

July-december 2023 benign neglect challenge(no trimming).
I was just thinking about this very same question today wondering what others do and happened by chance to come across the post. When I was a much younger kid I had waist length hair with a middle part and no bangs. As a young adult I started to wear it shoulder length but parted to the side and with bangs. Now as a middle aged woman about a year and a half ago I got bored and did a big chop. Now that I decided to start growing it out again I can’t make up my mind. Middle part? Side part? Bangs? No bangs? Too much pressure to decide….LOL
This gave me a good chuckle!
Mine "naturally" parts down the middle. I say "naturally" in quotes as I'm convinced it's stuck that way as a result of wearing pigtail braids my entire childhood. I almost never wear it that way though, and tend to part left or right, depending on the day.
My hair doesn't have a distinct part, It falls close to the middle if I don't mess with it after my shower, but it is happy to part anywhere I want it. For an updo, it's usually straight back unless the style requires a part (like two braids).
Down the middle, not really by choice. It hurts to try to move it.
.
In the middle. It usually varies by a few mm every wash/day, I'm not too worried about it. My hair gets much finer above my temples/around the upper corners of my forehead (I don't think I have male-pattern baldness, it's just always been like that for as long as I can remember, but it's basically in the same area) so if I move some of the thick hair to one side I can really feel the weight balance change and it bugs me

I change my parting every few months, switching between left, center and right. It hurts me too. There is a tension/pulling sensation around the new parting, and my scalp hurts a bit when I touch it there, but all this goes away after a day or two in my case. And it's worth waiting it out, because switching parting sides means that I can evenly distribute the wear that my hair experiences – the top layer and the strands around my face are not exposed to touching and the sun in just one place for ever.
