I'm still bumping this thread! I'm always interested in other people's very long hair routines!
It’s been really interesting reading about people’s routine...thanks!
I’m going to preface my routine by stating that what got me to tailbone is different to what I do now that I’ve started on the LHC...before it was pretty much benign neglect - S/C with whatever I picked up at the shops, air dry and comb and then bundle it out of the way most days. Now, I’m experimenting a bit
What is your current length? - 103cm or between tailbone & classic
How do you wash your hair? (shampoo, CWC, CO, WO, other?) - mostly WO, though I’m occasionally using ACV or FRW or some herbal rinses
How often do you wash your hair? - weekly-ish...as need or when I’m in the mood
What are your favourite products? I tried Giovanni Nutrafix Hair Resonstructor once as a light protein trial and quite liked it, so I’ll keep going with it a bit. I’ve got some Garnier Hair Foods (Macadamia, Aloe) that I use occasionally, either wash out or leave in. Flaxseed gel was pretty cool for my waves & FRW was a surprising win for my hair too.
What shampoo are you currently using (if you use shampoo)? None right now...I have a few unfinished bottles that I might use if I get build up happening.
What conditioner are you currently using? I’ve got some Garnier Hair Foods (Macadamia, Aloe) that I use occasionally (or do these count as deep condition...I never know!
Do you oil your hair? If yes, which oil/s do you use? No, but I’m interested to try...might raid my kitchen for some EVOO sometime soon...
Do you use oil as a pre-poo treatment? Nope
Do you deep condition your hair? If yes, what do you use? Does the Garnier hair foods left on for 10 mins count? That’s as close as I get.
How do you wear your hair on most days? Usually in some bun with a hair stick or paintbrush. I usually wear a hat when outdoors, too
Do you only air-dry your hair? Yup...too lazy to do anything else.
Do you use sulphates? I used to...I think my hair is happier without
Do you use cones? Ditto, though my hair was quite happy with silicones, but without using sulphates I don’t want build up.
Comb or brush? Mostly wooden comb. I just got a tangle teezer type to try out and I have a BBB that I occasionally use
Your top tip for growing to tailbone or longer? Don’t fight you hair...just let it do its thing. I think for me air drying and keeping it out of the way in a bun have been the best thing for keeping it happy.
Letting my hair do whatever it wants to do!

I think I have read about 30 of these responses so far... I have come to the sad conclusion all I have to do to grow my hair is to ignore my it, put it up, and it will grow.... No magical supplement or oil sadly.

Find a way to quantify your results objectively so you aren't stuck with vague recollection later which is notoriously unreliable when you encounter problems or seek to improve things.
