    What is your current length?
    TBL or 100 cm, i.e. 39.4 inches

How do you wash your hair? (shampoo, CWC, CO, WO, other?)
Cocounut oil, SLS shampoo, deep conditioner, silicone conditioner
    (OWCC?)

How often do you wash your hair?
When my hair looks dirty, i.e. after working out, or every other day in summer, less frequently during winter

    What are your favourite products?
Right now, the new Herbal Essences range (it’s called “pure” here but I’ve seen pics where it’s called “bio:renew” also, maybe American?) It’s 90% “natural” but still has a silicone in it. Far from organic but better than nothing I suppose, it’s impossible to find organic WITH silicone.

What shampoo are you currently using (if you use shampoo)?
    A Lush shampoo bar (SLS-based)

What conditioner are you currently using?
Shea Moisture Strengthen (etc.) Deep Conditioner (lots of protein!) and the HE argan conditioner from the pure range.

Do you oil your hair? If yes, which oil/s do you use?
    Coconut oil before washing

Do you use oil as a pre-poo treatment?
    See above!

Do you deep condition your hair? If yes, what do you use?
    See above!

How do you wear your hair on most days?
    Top knot lazy wrap bun

Do you only air-dry your hair?
Yes, except my fringe which I blow fry on a super hot setting haha

    Do you use sulphates?
    Yeees

    Do you use cones?
    Yeees

    Comb or brush?
    Tangle Teezer wet brush!

Your top tip for growing to tailbone or longer?
Put it up and forget about it. Find products that work for you and your hair type, not someone else’s hair type!

TBL+ stretched after a recent trim, ~TBL dry most days. On wash day my curls shrink up to just brush BCL, but there’s not a lot of space between those milestones on short little me.

How do you wash your hair? (shampoo, CWC, CO, WO, other?)
    I alternate WCC and co-washing (well, C-DC).

How often do you wash your hair?
    ~Weekly; I only use shampoo ~twice a month.

    What are your favourite products?
Hm. Lots. I like the Garnier Hair Food masks, Live Clean conditioners, SM JBCO masque, catnip tea, AVJ, Aussie Instant Freeze gel, and KCKT. I don’t use all of those at one time, just whichever I have on hand that would best suit my goal at that particular moment.

What shampoo are you currently using (if you use shampoo)?
I often use body washes Many shampoos have ingredients that trigger scalp eczema or bad hair behavior. Currently using one by Love Beauty & Planet (the rose scented one). I like Shea Moisture’s Daily Hydration Shampoo though.

What conditioner are you currently using?
Live Clean Argan Oil Restorative conditioner, Garnier Hair Food Mask (Aloe), Raw Sugar Bounce Back hair masque. I also use the Live Clean as a leave in, usually on damp hair.

Do you oil your hair? If yes, which oil/s do you use?
Not as much anymore; I used to have to daily to control scalp eczema and hair misbehavior before I booted glycerin from my leave ins and found some cleansers that play nicely with my picky scalp. My hair likes most oils. I still apply coconut oil to my scalp when needed.

Do you use oil as a pre-poo treatment?
I haven’t in quite a while. My hair loved peanut oil as a pre-poo, though.

Do you deep condition your hair? If yes, what do you use?
Every time I wash. I use whatever I have on hand, typically Garnier Hair Food masks or Shea Mousture JBCO masque, or Live Clean conditioners with a little honey and oil added.

How do you wear your hair on most days?
Braided when drying, braided when trying to preserve curls, in a LWB held with a wooden stick or fork most other times. Braided or in a high Gibraltar bun to sleep. I try wearing it down sometimes, but it usually gets in my way pretty quickly.

Do you only air-dry your hair?
Mostly. In the summer I use sunlight to help dry. This winter I had to sit in front of the space heater a few times when it refused to dry. I use a king-size microfiber pillow case as a turbie.

    Do you use sulphates?
NO. NEVER. They trigger severe eczema on my scalp and hands.

    Do you use cones?
Debatable. Shea Moisture’s JBCO line and Aussie Instant Freeze gel have cone-like polymers in them. But regular cones cause weird buildup for me that is very difficult to remove, so I avoid them at all costs.

    Comb or brush?
Wet brush. Only in the shower with lots of slippery conditioner. Otherwise I just fingercomb.

Your top tip for growing to tailbone or longer?
Simplify your routine and make it as cheap as is practical; it will be an expensive PITA to maintain a routine with tons of steps when your hair is longer. Also find cheap conditioners if your hair requires a lot of the stuff like mine does. Make sure your nutrition is good. Learn about porosity if you’re having weird hair trouble or live in an arid place; it was a game changer for me, as my hair is naturally extremely porous and doesn’t tolerate strong humectants well. And of course: put it up and forget about it.
    Congratulations on reaching TBL+ length!
I'm also looking forward to reaching TBL+ length someday soon! Hopefully, within a year from now. I really like your routine! It's pretty simple and straight forward.

Is it excessive to answer this three times? Shall I make it a yearly thing? (I answered late September/early October in 2018 and 2019.) Anyway, my routine has become greatly simplified in the past year so here goes.

    What is your current length?

Mid thigh, something in the realm of 47.5"

How do you wash your hair? (shampoo, CWC, CO, WO, other?)

    Shampoo and condition, nothing special.

How often do you wash your hair?

    Twice a week.

    What are your favourite products?

I switch it up as needed, but some of these come to mind: Innate Life Rose Hair Elixir, any NightBlooming oil blend, Aquableu Apple Cider Vinegar conditioner, GVP Conditioning Balm

What shampoo are you currently using (if you use shampoo)?

Well I have been using Suave Daily Clarifying for forever but recently picked up Aveeno Apple Cider Vinegar shampoo and have only used it for two washes but really like it so far. It may be a terrible mistake to switch things up since my scalp is so picky but I can't seem to keep myself from experimenting. (We'll see what I think of this statement in a year!)

What conditioner are you currently using?

I've been using Aquableu Apple Cider Vinegar conditioner most often, but when I last washed this morning I used the GVP Conditioning Balm.

Do you oil your hair? If yes, which oil/s do you use?

Yes, I like the Innate Life Rose Hair Elixir and also have several NightBlooming blends that I use as leave-ins on dry hair. I mostly choose based on the scent I'm feeling that day. I sometimes use my Vatika coconut oil as a prewash treatment.

Do you use oil as a pre-poo treatment?

Yes, when I feel like it needs a boost.

Do you deep condition your hair? If yes, what do you use?

I use a mask sometimes, usually one from Shea Moisture. I like the JBCO and Manuka Honey masks. I never leave it in longer than it takes to shower though.

How do you wear your hair on most days?

In a bun. My default is a lazy cinnamon bun with my Quattro 4" hair pins.

Do you only air-dry your hair?

Yes. I have a blow dryer but rarely use it.

    Do you use sulphates?

    Usually.

    Do you use cones?

I'm not opposed to them but haven't used them in a while.

    Comb or brush?

Brush. I use a TT Fine & Fragile to detangle and a Tek brush with wooden bristles for distributing leave-in oils.

Your top tip for growing to tailbone or longer?

    Eternally: Be gentle, have patience.

    What is your current length?
    Waist length.

How do you wash your hair? (shampoo, CWC, CO, WO, other?)
I wash with shampoo twice and deep condition almost every time. If I do not deep condition, I use regular conditioner.

How often do you wash your hair?
    Once a week, usually.

    What are your favourite products?
Kérastase and Redken. Their shamppos and deep conditioners are wonderful. My favourite is the Discipline line from Kérastase.

What shampoo are you currently using (if you use shampoo)?
Usually Kérastase Discipline Shampoo, Redken All Soft Shampoo or Olaplex No 4.

What conditioner are you currently using?
The ones from the brands already mentioned.

Do you oil your hair? If yes, which oil/s do you use?
    No, not usually.

Do you use oil as a pre-poo treatment?

Do you deep condition your hair? If yes, what do you use?
I deep condition almost every time or every second time when washing my hair.

How do you wear your hair on most days?
Down most of the time. My head hurts a lot if I put it up. I can't wear ponytails or buns because of this. I can't stand it when anything is pulling my hair strands. I usually braid it for work, which does not cause pulling.

I only air-dry. I never use any heat.

    Yes, I think so.

    Do you use cones?

Hi, just a little note. This thread is only for people with hair that is Tailbone Length or longer, and waist length is nowhere near Tailbone Length.
