No, at least not according to them...perhaps because they are geographically separate? But its common in the UK to talk about "Europe" and really mean "continental Europe."

I'm in Alaska, which is RARELY considered the Pacific Northwest but I'd say FAAAR Northwest describes it. Love it up here, I was born in California and couldn't stand it - but I am a west coast girl all the way.
