Yeah, I am not liking them either. I don't know who has control over the ads though....
I keep thinking about an ad block just because of that particular ad.
Everytime I am reading through the threads I see the ad for League of Angels. Yes, I understand it's a video game however it boarders on pornographic IMO which I am surprised to see on these boards? If any one of us posted images that are suggestive like the ones in the ad, we would be banned.

I love my AdBlock.
AdBlock, yep.

The other option is to edit your "Ads Settings". You could tell Google you don't want to see the category "games" for instance. I find weight loss adds infuriating so I don't get any of them.
You can also block specific ads. Look for the x in the upper left hand corner of the ad and click that. Google will ask a couple questions about why you don't want to see that ad and that is it. ETA: The blue arrow next to the x will take you to a Google info page with the link to "Ads Settings".
Most of the time I don't register the ads. Other times they register with amusement with how poorly targeted they are. I've tried Ad Blocker but that caused too many pictures in posts here to disappear, so I took it off again.

Mod hat off. Mod hat on. Don't make me wear the mod hat, it messes up my hair. *grin*
My adblock is not blocking these ads - it's only blocking static ads, not animated ones.
So, the p*rny, boob in your face ads are getting through.
Ah, those animated boobs are hurting my eyes! So distracting. Just let me focus on my hair research and swap stalking, dang it!
Not sure I can give an answer -- haven't seen them on the mobile browser and Adblock Plus is either stopping them here or my internet searches are making all my ads prefer hair-growth snake oil and performance auto parts and cell culture media. I can tell you that we don't really pick and choose the ads here, but maybe the admins/site owner can opt out of specific ones.
