Plain Goody fabric elastics to secure my braid, or cloth scrunchies.
At hip! Next goal: Tailbone length. Final goal: fingertip length.

I have a bunch of Scunci elastics, no metal of course... I also have some flat elastics, not sure if they're Scunci or Goody, and I like them better, they don't seem to snap as fast. Admittedly I use elastics as bases way more than I should but I haven't really noticed any breakage.

The only hair-ties I use are the ones that are made out of fold-over elastic.

I make my own, it's beyond simple and very cheap. The link is not attached to me in any way, I don't sell stuff. I do buy FOE from some etsy sellers and then make my own hairties for DD and myself, but that's it.
I really dislike all other hair-ties. I mainly use forks and sticks anyway.

Usually scrunchies. I really want to get some satin ones, but I use soft jersey cotton ones and they don't seem to cause damage other than possibly being a little drying. I also sometimes use those little poofy stretchy fabric rings for the ends of my braids... hope you know what I mean! If I can't find any of those or scrunchies, I'll use the knotted flat elastic things that others have posted pictures of.

I SHOULD make own scrunchies but since I never bother I've used scrunchies made out of phone cord.

I just use the regular ouchless elastics. I've been slowly using up a 30-pack (they stretch out really fast) for probably a year now. Almost time to get some more.
I have been considering cutting up to waist lately :O It is currently just above TB, b/c I keep trimming it...
