I'm in-between 3-4 on this one. I don't like damage or breakage, and make note of all the noises my hair makes when I'm combing it, but I'm not super paranoid. I'm babying it, but it's hair, it gets damaged sometimes.
1 - Not paranoid at all!
2
3 - Moderately paranoid
4
5 - I am obsessively paranoid about damaging my hair!
Cheese!
I said 1. I'm not paranoid about damage.
I wear my hair up all the time, not so much out of protectiveness, but to keep it out of the way. Knee length hair is a challenge down and it gets everywhere.
I have really good hair habits, so I don't feel worried in the least.

I voted moderately bc I have been more conscious about mechanical damage, like moving my hair away from purse straps, not using bad elastics, not brushing wet hair and I'm planning on getting a silk sleep cap. Though that last one is more about keeping my hair off of my face bc it makes me break out. But I'm not too paranoid bc I skill straighten my hair about once a week
Ever since I've decided to start growing my hair out I've become more and more paranoid about damage. At the time it was more an obsession with stopping the damage that was already there from travelling any further. Now, after having cut away all damage and left with shoulder-length hair *sob*, I am beyond obsessed with preventing the damage and splits from returning! So yeah... voted a five
Around a four. My hair get's damaged way too easy so I do have a reason for it

I'm not paranoid about damage.
I voted not paranoid.
As I am not paranoid. But am more aware of the things I do to avoid damage. Combing from tip to top, moisturising ends before combing, sleeping with my hair under a satin sleep bonnet, etc I consider these good hair practice
Very. I will no longer put my hair in jeopardy of being damaged. It's too important.
Not paranoid at all.
I spite of being fine, my silver is pretty resilient....and receptive to the preventative measures I take; even enabling me to wear it down in colder seasons.
As a new LHCer I was very paranoid, to the point of it interfering my life (couldn't rest my head against sofa, couldn't wear it down, couldn't let then-so touch it much, couldn't swim in relaxed way...). Now I'm not paranoid. I'm still gentler than I ever was before LHC, but not overly so. (I also don't have any plans to grow my hair very long, but still, this was about the overly-protective mentality and not hair goals.) I would like to use flat iron, but I still have my mini one for trichotillomania emergencies.
ETA: I voted not paranoid, because I don't feel that I am. Although to a muggle I might probably appear so, who knows.
