    Default Time for the chop?

    Hi all
I cut my hair from tailbone to jean waist band a few months back, it's been really good, I'm now thinking I might like to go to this type (http://www.stylebistro.com/lookbook/...le/6GXX4SQV-bF or http://www.celebrityredcarpet.co.uk/...e-2012_a2514/1) of length, which would seem to be just below bra strap length.........although it looks longer in some pics I'm thinking it may be extensions. I've always had long hair, since I was 5, so I've had long hair for like 21 years!! And although I consider bra strap length 'short' I know technically it's not and if I want it long again it will grow back in a couple of years, my hair grows pretty fast, and in the mean time I can do more stuff like curling and more complicated updos........plus wear it out more! I just have this feeling like since I cut it I'm not anticipating it growing back, which I always do.........and thinking of having it shorter doesn't freak me out anymore.......so what do you guys think? I know only I can decided but all input is nice I've also thought about dip dying 6-7 inches blue and then chopping it off when it fades, hence managing 2 hair changes in one go

Change can be fun, and your dip dye idea sounds good. You can try the fun dye color without being too upset if it damages your hair, since you are thinking of cutting that part off anyway.

I'm not sure I understand. I agree that those are probably extensions, but the woman's hair in the pictures looks to me like it's at hip or so. Even in the second picture, it looks like it'd be waist in the back and hip length or close to it if you stretched the curls. Maybe her own hair ends around BSL, but I can't tell for certain.

I dip-dyed the last 4-5 inches of my hair blue. They'd been damaged in the past. When I cut off the blue, all of my hair will be virgin. I'm enjoying it, have gotten a lot of compliments, and think it's a great idea.

If you've been thinking about it for a while, I say go for it! Otherwise, the two-week rule may be useful.

I also thought that length in the pictures is at least hip. The dip dye idea does sound fun. If you do go for it I hope you like shorter hair since you said that you always had long hair. I would chop little at a time to see how you feel though.

Hmmm maybe, it just seems like she does a lot with it (curls it, dyes it, teases it, updos etc) and it never looks damaged and it often looks shorter or longer during a week. example of 'shorter' length http://www.celebrityredcarpet.co.uk/...ld-you_a4180/1 is it just me underestimating the length? Maybe because mines so poker straight? I've also been looking at pics of Elizaveta Golovanova, she has amazing hair!, and I'm seeing they put it in very nice updos-maybe I just need more practice?

It certainly longer than BSL... I agree that if you stretched it out it would reach past her waist in the front which means it would probably be hip in the back.
