This thread is KILLING me already :P
I actually have a ridiculously large hair toy. The back story- I like octopus. Not to eat or anything, I just love the creature. My hubby ordered me a whirly glass hairstick with a glass octopus on top for a gift...
When I opened it, I honestly couldn't tell what I was supposed to do with it; Is it a cosh? Garden ornament? What? I tried the beast on once, and it was so huge and heavy I was afraid of rendering passers by unconscious by clubbing them with a ginormous sculpted sea creature. I MUST take a pic of this
Now measuring in at 37 inches, or BCL. Classic by Christmas '15 is a real possibility! Yeah, that's my clothes horse in the pic. I'm that glam.

kaelee...and a lot of the time it will be a Grahtoe because they do specialize in very large forks. I had one like that: beautiful, but eventually I sold it because it just was too big.

Here is a stick my mom made for me. I rarely ever wear it because it sticks out so far!

It is ONLY 8.5 inches. I can't imagine 10 inches Skade!

Mod hat off. Mod hat on. Don't make me wear the mod hat, it messes up my hair. *grin*

I need to see that!!! I LOVE sea creatures.

I agree, Grahtoe is very flintstone-esque. Beautiful work though.

    Diva where aaaare you??

I like big toys, but I have a feeling at least for a little bit my new Elymwold (not yet finished) will fit here. It is 7" by 4" but I NEVER want to outgrow it.

I have a GTS that qualifies also. I will try to post a pic this evening

Yes, it is quite unpractical. I think I need to take a picture.

This isn't comically huge, but it does take over most of the back of my head. BTW, it was VERY humid that day!

Once, when ordering a set of hairsticks from Pacific Merchantile (Now known as Eaduard Hairsticks) to give as winter holiday presents, he sent me a freeby pair that he said was one of the first sets of hairsticks he had ever made. He also noted that I was probably the only customer he knew off the top of his head that would be able to make them seem practical... I am sure he has a much larger list now.

I was out of town when they arrived, so Snuggles sent me a text to the effect of: "Your order is here. 2 pairs of 5", 2 pairs of 6", and 1 pair of melee weapons." This is what I came home to:

They are Sunburst Orange coloured Maple and they were the only pair from the whole set that I got to keep. I really like them, but I don't have any current pictures. This picture was right after I got them, and you can see it was a hurried bun to show them off (looks to me like the middle is about to uncoil and spring out at the viewer).

I love them, perfect for when I want my hair to be noticed, Like spending time with friends who haven't seen me in a long while. Or when wearing a simple dress, and wanting to do something for a big pow on top. I have to be careful, though, or Snuggles will get a big pow to the face when I hug him.
If you ever get stranded at sea, you could use them as oars for rowing!
