Double post.
Ylva, it is the same for me. I thought could be the "ashy" tone of the hair color to make it look darker when short... Probably the cold winter light can accentuate this aspect
Double post.
Thank you so much, Amaryllis!
Thank you so much!
Yeah, the contrast definitely does something but then again, here is the exact same contrast but in autumn.
Yeah, must be something along those lines!

So, I hope I'm not being offensive but I don't quite understand. Ylva, you seem opposed to having dark hair, or people thinking your hair is brown as opposed to blonde. Is it a cultural thing, like blonde hair is considered more beautiful and it's better to have blonde than brown? I just don't really understand what difference in makes in the scheme of things what your natural hair is called color wise.
I hope this doesn't come across as ignorant.
I was simply wondering why it looks darker in the winter. It was a completely neutral question with no attitude attached to it. I have nothing against dark hair, I just feel more like myself with light hair. It has nothing to do with blonde hair being considered more beautiful. Growing out, I am interested in what the colour looks like in different lightings and how it changes over time. That's all there is. No reason to take any kind of offence, I am not dissing dark hair in any manner.
Yeah, something like that!

I wasn't offended at all. I was only wondering if it could be a standard where you're from. There are different standards around the world so I'm curious about places outside of my region. Blonde hair is out of my realm of experience altogether, which is why I asked Some one who would know more
