Hi all! It's been quite a long time since I last logged onto here. I hope everyone is doing very well.

I've always gently combed my hair when it's wet, and it then would always dry stick straight. Today I thought I would experiment and not comb my hair and do the plop method while it dried.

Is my hair actually 2a? I always thought it was 1a. Here it is after not combing, still a bit wet and doing the plop...



Here it is pretty much dry and still not combed.



Here it is after I combed it. I wonder if there is a way to make the ends more wavy?




Here it is before I did anything. It's always wavy right after washing it.

Super pretty as always! You can't read a hair type from plopping, though, you just have to let it dry by itself.

It's been a while since I last posted here or taken hair photos, but I seem to have gone beyond my goal of classic length and straight to fingertip without noticing. I may consider going to knee length, but I don't want to spend more than half an hour with a hair dryer.

Oh yeah, for sure. We have a special hair typing thread around. But rules are you have to let it dry hands off. No styling, no product, nothing.

Thank you everyone! Yes, I think it must be 1b! I thought the point of doing the plop was to keep the wavy hair from drying straight, since the water weighs the hair down and makes it dry straight. I will have to see how it dries without doing anything.

Awhile back, maybe about a month ago, I posted on one of the threads how my hair was doing something new by coming out with a wave right up by my scalp which it had never done before. I finally got around to getting a picture to show what it's doing.

I think that's 1c, at the most 1c/2a, yes. But full 2a, no, not IMHO.

She plopped too so it wasn't untouched so I still think it's 1a/1b slight 1c
